Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    radar question

    Aright so I've gotten two speeding tickets so far, both times the cop was driving in the opposite direction, pulled a "U-ee" and pulled me over.

    I went to court both times and payed both tickets.

    Done.

    But a couple of my friends said that its actually illegal for a cop to radar you while driving. They related it to using a cell phone. Like they can only use the radar when stopped, due to the distraction. Is that true? I"m not looking to go back to court to argue this or anything, cuz I was speeding, but I'm just curious. Anyone hear of this rule?

    Btw I live in RI...if that makes a difference

    Fight every ticket that way you have less on your record.


    Or at least try for a diversion.


    I try to fight all my tickets. I just got a diversion in august for a ticket that i got in Feb(going 21 over the limit caught with a stopwatch....radar would have had me at least 30 over the limit ) Just keep asking for as many extensions that you can get. Then go to court and if the cop doesnt show up it will be more than likely that the extend it again or just throw it out.



    NEVER just pay your ticket if you dont have to. Thats just giving the Government more $$$$$

      Tell your friends they are dumb!!!

      Invest in a decent radar detector, learn where and when to speed.
      (not a cobra cuz cobra=crapra, or a rmr)

      Always fight a moving violation ticket...

        a cop can clock you on radar because they have them sitting in the windows. the back, front and one on the side above their driver side window. so no matter if they're sitting still or if they're driving the opposite way, they can still clock you. happened to me plenty of times. but due to the fact that the crown vics, chargers, and Impalas are insanely slow at acceleration, i get about 2 miles down the road and over the hill before they can catch up and by then i have my cruise control on. lol.

        as far as it being illegal for them to use it while driving? they can, but i doubt they're going to use the hand held one. they'll use the ones sitting in their windows. but forget about a radar detector. you'll be spending hundreds if you start buying them. all youll do is just get yourself in more trouble when they see that you have one.

        a modded car+radar detector= cop thinking you were speeding on purpose and him being more likely to give you a ticket. know when and where to speed.
