my cb got impounded!

yup the other night my cb7 got impounded! and you wanna know the funny thing I wasnt even racing. the cop said that since me and my friend where driving side by side only 5 miles over the speed limit that thats considerd racing. Im so pissed. my car is sittin in a impound lot for 30 days and I dont even want to think of the other fees involved

yeah they took my friends car too, we wherent even racing! wow 5 miles over the speed limit and u call that racing? also on my ticket it said 55-60 mph come on now make up your mind was I going 55 or 60. to be honest I was going 50 and the speed limit was 45 this is bull! now im going to have to pay all these fees for something that I didnt even do

the fees are not part of the police station, it is the towing company.

the only thing you can do is talk to them in regard of getting the car out b4 the 30 days...but that probably wont happen.

It only gets crushed if they hold it for at least 90 days (after that it is up to the discretion of the towing company to crush it or not). I assume you are in california, I know there, they only crush cars by court/police order if they are found to have stolen parts...otherwise if you get it before 90 days you only have to pay the towing and storage fees. But I'd see if the police can give you a release slip before the 30 days, I don't know why they did that...

yeah well I talked to the sargent today and he said that he will not release it early! this is bull! 30 days will surly add up to over 1000 bucks!

...if u and ur friend were in Vans instead...doin the exact same thing...i wonder what they'd do!...that's ...HELLNO! im pissed! fockin *** cop...that specific cop needs to get shot and survive and look at life differently..that way..he'd be all like a hippy and go fock himself and be like DOOOD it's kooo...no worries man. we're all doin it...come on u get low...and i'll get high. edit:...talkin to the law enforcement wouldn't do anything...its up to the judge when u deal with it..idk if u did that yet but i'd tell the judge the cop is being punk just trying to get his work finished in before the month is over! cuz cops have some kind of thing they do almost at the end of every month...idk exactly what, but they swarm the streets when it's near the month.
