ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Suspension + CV Shaft

Ok so I just had a new transmission and cv shaft put into my Lx along with a new clutch and drove it for a grand total of six hours before the same brand new Cv shaft snapped and my engine died, all I was doing was slowly turning left when it happened. I know my suspension is fucked and as soon as I can I'm replacing it all, When my cv broke the first time it knocked a hole in my transmission, could it have bent something under there that would cause my cv to bind when turning left?

I had a new motor and tranny put in about a year ago and then when my tranny blew out it sat for a few more months, then I bout the new tranny and put it in this last time, the actual engine hasn't given me to much problems besides having to replace my oil pan. I know my front motor mount is going bad and I'm going to replace that this weekend

What is the transmission from? If it's not a 90-93 Accord, a new hole must be tapped... or else it won't sit properly. If it wasn't, that would explain your issue quite well.

Look on the transmission for a code... and tell us what it is.

Also, what motor did you have put in? Look next to the exhaust manifold for a stamp. Something tells me it says F22B2...

If a F22a6, I've looked at the engine code, the tranny is out of an LX

Maybe you just got crappy axles...

The transmission is from a 90-93 LX?

Yeah, thats how it was labeled at the place I bought it and they made sure to tell me it was an Lx tranny for the Accord

Look for the code on the transmission... If it's a 5th gen LX tranny, that would explain your problem.
