ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Ecu fun!

So my jdm p13 is fugged up. I opened it up and where the iab resistor would be its completely fried. I enter safety mode all the time and the car would bog. So i read that a chipped p28 would be the answer. Wrong! I bought an auto p28 and had it chipped...the car wouldnt work. It wouldnt shift and the car was just horrible. Why? the auto components on the p28 interfere with the tcu from the accord. 180 down the drain. Everyone tells me automatics are really hard to do anything to. I cant seem to find a p13 anywhere. So i read that a p75 would work. Bought one fairly cheap dn plugged it in. Car has no more codes, shifts and drives smooth. Just lacks all its power and vtec . Now when i plugged in the virgin p28 the car drove fine other than the auto lock up. The p75 is flawless! Now I bought it for the reason of converting it to a p72 with the automatic still there. Think it'll mess up like that p28 did when i gt it chipped?

    fun year ive had lol

Why not just sell both and get a new JDM P13? You should be able to ask wherever you got the swap from if they can get you a new computer. Or eBay.

So you've been running with a stock P75 and a stock P28? That has to be the dumbest thing you could possibly do!

When you get a chipped P28, you don't want to just run on whatever program the seller put on the chip. Have the ECU tuned, or just buy another P13.

I've never heard the auto issue, but then again, most of the tuners I know stay away from autos. Perhaps that's the reason.

The P75 is a non-vtec ECU, so of course you don't have vtec. You won't. I know the P06 can be converted to basically be a P28. Maybe the P75 can be converted as well...

lol i didnt run with them..i tested the car out with them. cant find a p13 anywhere thats why im looking for alternatives. i hav eno clue where the swap was done. i bought the car since i needed transportation. im a nissan guy not a honda guy lol.

lol i know the lack of vtec. the p75 is off an LS. it can be converted to a p72 which would give me vtec and with the chip a good map. the guy who tuned my p28 did it poorly.

Yea auto's are a "blast" lol. Most tuners do indeed stay away from automatics. No real way to run them right. but with the lack of auto p13s around, im sorta stuck with what ic an try out. that p75 is working wonder though. there is a theory on pgmfi that a p75 converted to p72 with a chipped h22a map will work. so thats what im going for. i just dont want another flop

A P13 from a manual car should work, I would think... The TCU controls the shifting anyway. I don't know that much about autos to help, though.

To find a P13, hit ebay (obviously), or www.car-part.com.

Don't quote me on this being a right answer and it may not even work or be something you would be into, but why not just buy a 5 speed ecu and desolder the resistor that is bad in yours and use it in your auto p13.

Or quit fucking around and get a tune. J/K

I know it isn't always easy to get a tune. In my area there is nothing so my team and I try shit like that to get us through.

If you want a chipped ECU for your auto (I am assuming because it seems like your car is auto by description) then you need to chip the ECU with uber 1.66. Its the only one that works with auto trans that I have seen and heard. Just plugging a p28/p72 in your car isnt gonna work unless it has some sort of map configured to run the car.

You're in Orlando... PM MRX and see if he's available to tune you. I think he's still in the area. If anyone around there can do it, I'm sure he can. He tuned my ECU for me. Great work, and he doesn't charge an arm and a leg.
