ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

2 Door to 4 Door Disk Conversion

    Hey Everyone,
I'm new to this forum and have a question about doing the rear disk conversion. I've been reading different threads in this forum and I can't find anything really regarding this question. So here it is. I have a 90 accord 2 door and I have found some 90-93 4 doors in junk yards with rear disks. Can I take the take the rear disks (and everything that goes with them) from a 4 door and put it on my 2 door? I don't know if all the parts are the same length. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

The only significant difference between coupes and sedans is the number of doors. (ok the suspension is a little lower on coupes, but you'd never know it).

Okay, So I know this was talked about in other threads, i just don't remember where it was. But, if I do the disk conversion then I have to take the suspension that goes with the disk setup or I can use mine right now, so I don't have to switch the springs and shocks over?

You'll need the rear knuckles. The shocks and springs will stay.

As mentioned just take the complete rear arms. That would be easier since all you need to do is drop it and bolt the other unit on. You will be able to use the EX sway bar in the back if you do that. You also need an integra 40/40 prop valve for the brakes to function properly from what I have read.

Quesiton about this.. The 40/40 prop valve, can it be obtained from an accord with rear disc? Why the integra one? (informational purpose only, not disagreeing or anything, trying to get more info for when i do my swap)

The Accord doesn't have one. If you don't use the valve, you'd need to swap over the brake booster and ABS components.

Nope, those dimensions are the same. All CB7s have same wheelbase.

Yes, yes it does. That's why it's a coupe.

However, the length of the roof, floor, doors, etc... have NOTHING to do with the brakes. If it's not related to the doors, side glass, body panels, seats, and a few interior pieces, it's identical (or at least interchangeable) between the 2 door and 4 door.

then why when I tried to use a headliner from a sedan on my 90 EX did it stick out into the rear window about an inch or so? And why were the side skirts from a sedan about 1.5 inches or so too long?

Anyways I know it's not relative to the brakes, just pointing out something else..... It was late and I was being a smartass..... sorry
edit: but I did want to point it out because it's not as obvious a difference as a lot of other things, and I would hate for someone to pay for things that didn't fit like I ended up doing
