Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    makes me feel good

    SO i finally got the a6 done. I got my mom to ride in it couse she wanted to hear the dif. it made with the secondaries.

    My mom has a verywell kept, and modified Eclipse gst runin at over 20 lbs of boost.

    She thinks i play with my car when i work on it. SHe gave me the $ for the cam and the ecu, thinking i was stupid.


    Well, getting to the point, i didnt step on 1st, then got to a clear staight.

    2nd gear at 3 grand. I floor it, Take it all the way to 6 grand. By then my mom freaks out. SHe said " I DIDNT THINK YOU WOULD MAKE THIS CAR SO FAST!" I just barely hit third and she would not let me go faster.


    She told me she didnt aprive of it, and i cant buy anymore parts.


    Just thought id share that. It made me feel good!

    Hehe Good Job! You have to take into account that cars usually feel faster from the passengers seat... so any mods you did probably doubled the passenger side butt dyno reading!

    That's why I never showed my mom how fast my cars were back when I was starting to drive... 11 years later, I don't have to get her approval, but I still won't go WOT with her in any of my cars... keeps her from worrying.

      ... not trying to sound like a dick or anything but if your mom is driving a GST with over 20 lbs of boost and thinks you're accord is fast from just doing an a6 swap (intake/cam or whatever) i think that is pretty sad... my friend has a GSX at like 19 psi and his car was a hell of a lot more impressive then any cb7 i had been in.

        same thing i was thinking. lol. but its all good tho. he'll be at the meet on saturday. he can go WOT all he wants. just as long as its not in the parking lot. lol

          Ya I was thinking the same thing boosted eclipse at 20psi is pretty bad ass...maybe she was impressed with the overall gains from before and after on the cb. Anyways good job dude!

            It's his mom. His car is fast. He's handsome. He's smart. That's what mom's do She's not going to say "my car is totally faster than yours!" Of course, if she knows anything about cars, and I assume so, she can tell the difference between the A6 and the A1/4. Maybe not "fast", but "faster" applies.



            On a side note, your mom is cool as hell. My mom drives a minivan, an thought a dented hubcap was the reason her tire was losing air.

                He put in an F22A6, or turned his F22A1 or F22A4 into one. Adds 10-15hp.

                  well i think i might be the only one to say that i have passed my mom one the highway at around 170km/hr, had a couple of street races against my old man ( he laughed at me cause he thought my cb would be faster) and the icing on the cake, they bought me a complete h22a4 to swap in ( for christmas )

                    When i said "she thinks its fast", I meant it more like..."My son bought a beat up Accord for some reason, then spent got knows how many hours working on it, thinkin he would get somewhere...."

                    Of course, its nothing close to the GST,that not what i meant. She paid $18000 for it. I got mine for $2500.

                    Oh and devee, when my mom was in her 20s, she drove a silver Astin Martin Db7. That is cool.

                    But im just sayin, a old ass accord gave her a scare. I just thought it was funny...

                      that is funny. lol. i worked on my car and my dad was surprised that i did all the work to it. the suspension, the timing belt job, and everything else. he started to get me to do everything for him on his wifes 626, his cadi, and his Nissan Titan. lol

                        You know, I got so sick of asking my dad for help with my cars, i jsut started reading, and reading, and reading....

                        Then, id just go out and do it. Now i dont have to ask for help. (i mean from my dad, i always ask for help here..)

                          i feel ya on the dad thing i am the plumber electricion carpenter mechanic pretty much the handy man at my house because my dad is way to in to sports, lol, he can tell you just about anything you want to know about college football, and kick your ass in some ncaa on xbox 360, he's cool though and young im 20 he's 40.
