Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    engine running rough

    ok,so i go to start up my car and she kicks after about 2 seconds as usual.then when i rev it to warm it up it shakes the car and it seems like its missing and it sounds like a damn v8 the exhaust makes a burble burble sound(its usually very smooth and deep).so i cut it off and poped the hood.i saw nothing out of the ordinary.so i got my dad to take a look and listen to it.he says its a vacuum hose missing somewhere.what do you guys think it could be?

    First of all, if you want your engine to last don't "rev it to warm it up"


    Sounds like its not firing on all cylinders. check you sparkplug wires

      thats not a video of when its cold.usually in the morning i rev to like 2k but never higher just to warm it up.do you really think it could be the spark plugs?those are pretty new.....

        yeah definitely one of your sparkplug wires is not on the plug all the way, so therefore it sounds more like a subaru boxer engine.

            Sounds to me like you have an exhaust leak or something.... Dont know whats with the white smoke but I would guess you have a cylinder thats burning oil or something(antifreeze)... lots of smoke going on there....

              1)Its not an exhaust leak
              2)Thats not alot of smoke at all.

              My car has alot more "smoke" and runs perfect.

                yea thats not an exhaust leak.i just got my exhaust done.if its the spark plugs like all of you say,how do i fix it?do i need to buy new ones?or can i fix them?

                  Its not firing on one cylinder start the car and let it idle, then disconnect one sparkplug wire at a time and if it make it run worse that means that one is working. If you unplug one and nothing happens, thats the one that isn't firing. The problem could be inside the dizzy the wire or the sparkplug.

                    yea.i just tried that and all it did was spark and then cut off

                    edit:hahaha i feel like such a noob now.nvm i found it.thanks for the advice
