ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

i've been having trouble starting my car recently.
just today i was at the gas station. i filled my tank, then i got in.
engine cranks but wont start. it took my about four to five attempts to get the car to start. i was at my pump lane for about five minutes trying to start my car and there was another car behind me lol. an a seperate occasion, i was about to leave for home after a long day of school. i turn the keys, engine cranks, no start. long story short, i was stuck in the parking lot in 90+ depree weather for ten minutes trying to start my car

    please help.
sorry if this question has been asked already.

90+ degree weather.. most likely, it's the main relay.. here's the DIY..

It's is the possible cause. Check the main relay for cracks and burnt solders. If the main relay is clean then it's your igniter on the distributor.. Happened to me 2 weeks ago.

My car wasnt starting when it was a hot/humid day. Works fine all winter...I tried the relay yesterday. It had 2 spots that were mentioned on here on other posts where the solder had a kinda crack around the base that sticks out. I resoldered it in like 5 minutes and put it back in...now its not hot out so I dont know if it fixed it. I will know the next sunny day as summer gets near. It acted up a few days ago when it got up to like 65, but now its colder again...only happened when it was in the direct sunlight...

            I hope it fixed it!

that solder looks too thick. go to a actual electronic place that specializes in comp. repair. by the time youget that solder to melt, you might burn your board, and wire. and dont worry about your skills, its already broken, might as well fix it (or try). my new one cost 65$ heres a pic in my sig of where to look on your relay. I boght my cb7 in feb. and the same day I had same symptoms. it got so bad, I could only drive for minute, then it die, and Im stuck flapping my doors open and shut to cool off the int. you can check it to see if it was it regardless of the heat outside, just turn on the heat on high, and divert the heat to the floor, and get it hot in there. also, bang on the dash in the area that the relay is at, if it tries to start while bang ing, its deffinatley it.if you have some flexibal conduit, direct hot air to the relay area.
                you'll love my nuts!

NO. i believe that is for plumbing and mechanical assembly applications.. you would need something for electrical use..

unfortunately they didnt have any wire, i guess they were out.
                          but i found this:

i should just pull mine out right now and double check the solder joints too while the car is down but not for a related reason.
