ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    CEL codes 15 and 43...

My accord is showing 3 engine codes, one is for the oxygen sensor, the other two are a code 15 Ignition output signal and a code 43 Fuel supply system.

Its a 90 Ex coupe with an F22A4 swap. I havent checked if the stock ecu is in the car, but most likely hasnt been touched.

What would cause the code 15 and 43? The only problems with the car is the fuel gauge not working correctly. The engine and auto trans were swapped with stock replacements before I bought the car. Any specific things someone can think of to check would be great.

      Code 15 = Ignition coil

I just saying its not the original engine, I wasnt sure what the stock motor was for a 90 Ex. I havent been having any misfires so I wouldnt know what to think about the condition of the ignition coil or fuel injectors.

Grab a haynes manual and a voltmeter and check for currents. No current = no power.

Like I said, the car has been driving fine, Ive driven it over 1200 miles in the past 2 weeks... its not a question of the car not running.

How is your gas mileage? Codes 1 and 43 can usually be fixed by replacing the o2 sensor. I say usually because that's not always the case. You might end up having to replace your fuel filter as well. Both are not big tasks and is something you can do within a few hours.

Code 15 usually means your ignitor is about to go bad, or is bad. When the ignitor goes out, you lose a lot of power and will buck and drive erratically. The only way of fixing this is by replacing the ignitor or the entire distributor with a good one.

My gas mileage is pretty ok for the most part, about 23 mpg highway/city mixed. I would expect it to be better with a new engine. It has the power of a fresh engine. I do need to replace the o2 sensor, but I wasnt sure if they are the same as a 92-95 civic, because I have a spare one of those. Just havent gotten under the car to look yet.

code 15 is most likely the igniter. 43 could be anything fuel.

Well I put my spare civic o2 sensor in there and cleared the codes... drove it around for a bit but I am really low on gas so Ill have to wait and see if any codes pop up later when I put some gas in it.

The post before yours would indicate the car is running.

                            Can't you read??

He suggested to check the voltage for any irregularity. When I used to have his car it's not making any readings BUT it does fire sometimes but mostly it does not.

Anyway , did you reset the ECU?
