ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

How do I install an optional arm rest?? Help?

So I bought an arm rest off "JARHEAD" and was wondering how to install it. It's the one that bolts to the floor, NOT onto the seat. I used search and searched in the DIY section, and nothing came up. So I posted here.

I placed it over the area where it "should" be and I can feel where the base lines up with the "shape" of the center/floor.

But, I was wondering if anyone can give any tips as to how exactly to bolt this on. It looks like I need to cut through the carpeting, and just bolt it to ready tapped holes. Am I right or wrong?

Any tips, pics or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

some cars have holes already there which you can use to just bolt it right in....if not(in my case) i just drilled the holes and used self tapping screws and has held up perfectly...no problems.

2x well minus the colour matching, it's just something to make long trips more comfortable. i mean if you can get your hands on one then by all means throw that thing in there.

This is exactly what the CB was missing that I never knew existed until a few weeks ago. So when I saw "JARHEAD" had one I swooped on it!

I used to just lean my wrist on the shifter and that wasn't comfortable at all for long trips. My other car has an armrest and it adds to the comfort of the driving experience. So I can't wait to slap this baby on.
