ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

And another dumb newbie question is, will these replace my stuts? Or do they work WITH my struts somehow...

Doesnt look like it. Those display just the spring, and the alloy ajuster. Those replace the springs on your stock struts/shocks, you have to just replace the spring. However there is more then just replacing springs when doing suspension. If i were in your spot, i would concentrate on getting everythiing else up to par (ball joints, tie rods, bushings etc...) Nothing is better then haing a car ready to be droped, rahter then droping it and everything going to hell.

            Hope it helps.

            EDIT:

If i were you, i would go with something like this

They are a bit more reputable and whatnot. Ground Control does alot of suspension stuff in the cheaper price range. After that there is the TIEN Series, those range from 600-4000 for a full strut set.

imo, Coil-overs under $500 are shit. Coil-overs are meant to outperform the best shock/coil combo's... that alone is about $600. BUT meh. I just think if you do something, you should do it right the first time.

Sometimes aftermarket ones are cheaper due to manufactuing in bulk. You have to remember, quality doesnt mean emptying your wallet... There is good stuff out there for decently cheap such as the Megan Racing product line, some of that stuff is really nice. Just about anything out there (except ebay shit) is better then stock imho.

depends on what you want to do. if you dont mind feeling like you're on a boat, get the cheap ebay stuff. Personally, I want a quality ride, superb handling and the comfort to drive for 8-10 hours straight.

megan is probably the lowest I would go price wise.

Ignoring that a "shock/coil combo" is in fact as much a coil-over as are 'coil-overs', I think typical aftermarket 'coil-overs' can only dream of being as good as the "best shock/coil combo's"...

coil overs are matched. shock/coil arent... though there are some (neuspeed sck) that are matched pretty well.
