ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

it's wrong. I easily get about 28-32mpg. Best is 38mpg.

edit: it depends on what you've got. If you have 30lbs of boost... you're going to get about 4mpg :P

thats a cool site but hypermilling is usually considered like 25% more than EPA... so maybe if the old epa was 26 combined you would have to get at least 33 MPG at make the low end. I got buddies of mine that get like 60-70 with their civics, crxs and geo metros.

i find those number quite right... 92 F22A6 5 speed last tank i got 25.9 mpg mixed highway and city driving...

              that's with SRI and header.

i'd love to know how people are knocking on the door 30+ mpg....

30 mpg * 13.5 gallons of gas (what i usually fill up at) = 405 mpt...

that's an impressive number in my opinion

Old engine, automatic F22a6, from here to Va Beach (340 miles), in 10 gallons. 223k on it. But engine now, about..13-14'ish? No thermostat, and o2 sensor's bad. (need coolant temp. sensor). Those 2 problems are worse than findin' out your girlfriend's leavin' you for your neighbor.

i just filled up tonight at 3.37 and put in 9.085 gallons (have the reciept to look at ) i got 27 miles to the gallon. i drive the highway about 35 minutes eveyday on the way to work and on the way home (i think its 65 miles round trip) is that good for highway milage???

i have done a full tune up: fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, valve cover gasket set (keeps oil out of the plug tubes)

anything else i should do or is that it? by the way my car is an automatic, 199929 miles, 90 coupe, f22a1. thanks

should you change it even if the CEL light isn't on? i thought you change it if and only if you get a CEL, otherwise you're throwing away money?

02 sensors get lazy...if they go bad they throw a CEL.

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
