ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

So I've always used Mobil-1 Full Syn. in my F22 (10W-30)and was planning on doing the same with the H22 (5W-30). I read the forum on Dino-oil Vs. Synthetic, but whats the consensus out there? thanks

Mobile 1 isnt as good as most think... Heres a test ya should look at.

Other great info can be had at bobistheoilguy.com

My motor kept eating cams and exhaust vtec rockerpads... (using MOBILE-1) after reading a great deal about sulfur dithiophosphate and other additives removed from MOST US produced oils.... I Changed to royal purple and it saved the next set (fully built head). The shit is incredible and cheap insurance for the 1 dollar more a qt it is... And I change mine every 1500 miles since I beat the crap out of the car.

      Just food for thought...

Not to be a dingleberry, but I dont believe Mobil 1 screwed your motor. I did gain 1 mpg from using RP in my nissan though.

Mobil 1 is great if you're gonna try to do extra miles between oil changes. It seems to not sludge as easy as non - synthetic oil. I've always used GTX every 3K and at 203,000 miles - my motor is CLEAN inside. I know as I recently replaced valve cover and oil pan gaskets.

Not the motor, but it did the cams in with the valvetrain ive got in it...

Fact. ONLY change was the oil. Fixed the problem... Its not completely uncommon to hear of this sort of thing happenig on b or H motors... Some Ds as well... I havent SEEn any Fsa do it, but dont mean it doesnt happen.....

The Valvetrain is what killed the cams, but it was the oil not standing up thyat allowed it. Went through 2 sets of cams.... Others have too... RP fixed mine as well as a couple others I know of personaly.

known oil types are being faked.
Buy an unknown one or the newest oil on the market.
              Excuse my language.
