ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

        Here is what Bilstein says:
        http://www.bilstein.com/mistore/ymm_...reYMM=storeYMM

and they price them for $154 ea.

In regards to the ride, I would not change the tire profile, as in moving to a 17"
wheel ride is of major concern. Tires are the first thing to absorb shock.

Now onto the issue of the deal. If it looks to good to be true, it usually is...

Oh and are the lights dual projectors? They looks quite nice. Please keep me in mind if you find out what they are and contain.

Your gonna have a stiffer ride just by the tire and wheel combo. I do not know if you have changed to the new 18"'s or not yet. If ride stiffness is of a concern I would first try the new wheels and see if that is going to be too much for you.

If the 18"'s are ok with you then I would just do the struts and not the springs.

As for the deal, I would ask the question to see if they are re-manufactured and do a bit of searching in google for others prices for the same thing.

havent put the 18's on yet but they are definitely going on first b4 anything else just to see how it feels with stock, but u say no springs, why is that? cuase of the lowering?

Simple; increased spring rate = stiffer ride.

I will try to simplify this. I will describe to you what happens to your suspension in the order that things occur. Everything that occurs is how your car distributes and dissipates energy. As you drive down the road that first bump is received by your tire and whatever energy that is not absorbed by it is transmitted to your springs. If you did not have struts/shocks, the car would just oscillate dissipating the energy till there was none left, but the strut/shock limits by dampening the springs reaction to fully oscillate thus reducing the energy transmitted to the chassis of the car. A portion of the energy that the strut/shock does not stop is then absorbed and distributed by chassis and then distributed further throughout the car and is further dissipated by things like your seat and interior.

Each time you change a parts ability to absorb and dissipate energy you will feel it. I hope this makes sense.

Bilstein dampers are good, but they do not make a similar product like the Koni Yellows for our CB's.

If you want to run your 18" wheels, I suggest pickup up a stronger damper rather than the Bilstein HD's. Speaking with Bilstein, they only recommend the HD's for OEM type spring rates. You could have run the Neuspeed Sofsports with the Bilsteins but now that you have the increased spring rate from the lower profile 18" tires, you will need to dampen that using a stronger damper.

My suggestion is either a Koni Red or a Koni Yellow. I think the Koni Red's would do just find for you.

I agree if your going to run the 18's but even with stock springs and say Koni Yellow's the ride will be kind of harsh IMO. Again I suggest that you put on the 18's and see how it drives. I think you gonna notice a big difference in how the car feels on the road with that low a profile tire.
