ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I would say don't launch. Unless you have lsd is just makes your time slower spinning your tire all they way down the track. Just ride the clutch a little off the line. also since you have stock suspension wheel hop is probably your worst enemy right now. Try to stiffen things up a bit.-1991 Honda Accord LX H22a-

I had some bad hopping last night. I just wanted to get a base time before I started do some other work done. All I have is the stock trans, headers, 25.exhaust,MSD Cap, rotor,SS Blaster coil and no weight reduction. I was going to ride the clutch more next time I go,I was poping it. Thanks for the info. Will i get a better time w/ the 205-50-15 its a motigei racing rim and its alot lighter.NEW PSN

3200-3800 rpms is a good start. i launch at 3400-3500 on the street, so i would figure a little lower than that to account for the more grippy race prepped surface. but wheel hop is definitely your worst enemy. i would rather spin through 3rd than get wheel hop. if you're on stock axles, wheel hop could break them if you hop it hard enough. dragging the clutch can only mask the problem so much.

Your 60 foot is crappy. It seems like you were having traction issues. Cut that down you can run a lower time. What transmission are you running that makes a difference. How you launch the car makes a difference and I dont mean just a certain rpm how you use the clutch is important. Feathering the clutch helps. I launch my car at 3800-4000.
