ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Motor Mounts???

I just got a new tranny and change the rear engine mount and the torque mount. I put energy suspension bushings on the torque mount. Now when the car is parked or im stopped at the light it vibrates, its not bad but it is annoying. My question is should the car shake like that? and What can i do to make it stop?

Yes it should shake like that, the mount is less versatile than the stock mounts, the new ones are filled with complete urethane, whereas the stock mounts are filled with rubber/air.
So, the mounts you have now, prevent engine tilt, which helps prevent wheel hop, by letting the power to the wheels and not the tilt of the engine.

But say you really can't stand it, you can drill holes in it so it will have a little more give if a daily driven car.
Meh, not feeling the honda game anymore.
    MY CAR IS SOLD!!!

I would go back to stock mounts. I'm surprised it didn't have some vibration before, I's a common problem for automatics. Can also make sure all tune up stuff is in spec. and setting valve lash will help idle. Run idle on high side 800-850. All will help.

the new mounts are solid, so you will feel the engine vibration more. just means they are stiff, which is good

the ac is just adding a load to the engine, it will make it vibrate more, it is fine

93 honda accord ex vibration problem

Hellow! I m new in this site, I just bougth a 93 honda accord ex coupe model with automatic transmition. Now I have the same issue that the guy posted here. When I m stopped the car vibrates, and it feels more when I m in reverse. Is there something I can do to fix this? Also it is a little bit hard to start it on the mornings. I just checked the sparkplugs and they are covered with oil. I took one out and they are new. Is this expensive to change? what brand of spark plugs wires is the best?. This is my first car, and also has 193000 miles on it but still runs great. Thanks for the feed back
