ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

first, i dont mean to be mean, but dont shove a bunch of sentences in one paragraph.

second, how much you willing to spend on the block. you will need a cam and a tune to rev up that high. and i wouldn't trust stock valve train springs.

might as well go all out and get some rods, arp rod bolts, arp head studs, and why do you wanna keep the stock a6 cam? Get a 272 regrind. the a6 cam will not make power up that high at 8200 rpms. The power drops off about 2000 rpms if not more before that. Then the turbo will start choking. If you plan on buying a brand new nitrous kit, they go for atleast $500 and if you get a GOOD reputable clutch and not ebay, that should be about another $400. You might as well redo EVERY seal on your motor unless recently rebuilt.

i am getting to nitros kit from my brother for cheep and the clutch is like $372 i think and i wasnt inclueding that in with the rest of the stuff for the engien.

so i need a new cam. cuz it stopes makeing power at like 5200 rpms

and ya i forgot about rods so thanks

anything else anybody can think of ????

you could also replace the stock A6 intake plenum w/ an H23 intake plenum, it holds about 2-3X more air volume than the A6 and bolts right up w/ no major modifications....you just have to reroute a couple coolant lines since the FIV is gonna be under the TB now. This is good for about 5whp on a stock engine so definitely more on a turbo'd one. Plus more air flow is better....this plenum is more efficient than the stock A6 one is.

Also, I would get a Bisimoto Heat Shielding IM gasket, it reduces temps of the IM on a stock engine by as much as 50 degrees so imagine how much it would reduce temps on a turbo'd engine....they go for 57 shipped. Basically 5whp and 7ft-lbs on a stock engine, so it'll be more on a turbo'd one

You'll want to get new pistons as well. I cant see how those would hold up on boost for a long time. and it sounds like your aiming for more then 12 lbs of boost.

Arias makes a set, i dont know where to get them however.
                  Re-sleeve the block.

you wont need to resleeve it, unless your going over 400hp on pump gas. even with this setup i would be running at least 110 octane.

i was thinking of resleaveing the block, if i had the bread to do that too.
i was planing on running like maybe 15 psi i could run it now its just i would need bigger fuel injectors like at least 550cc. but i am getting some like dsm 750cc from his guy for like 40 bucks so i was going to wait till the block was built till i go any more then 15 psi.

but i was hopeing to run atlesst low 12s if not hi 11s i run like mid 13s now with sliping clutch so with the built block and the nitros is 11s to fast? i was wanting to woop up on my grandpas vette when he comes here to vistit

you better invest in drag tires with traction bars

i think i would look into a built up trans too, unless you like changing it with every oil change.
as far as internals go, gotta remember you get what you pay for. good luck on the build none the less
