Tranmission swap

OK my transmission has just about had it. Picked up one from a junk yard for $200. It s th5 speed. Anyway planning on swapping it this weekend. Any pointers or help would awesome never done anything like this before so any and all help is appreciated

invest in a haynes or chiltons manual for your accord. this is the best advice anybody can give you

make sure you have all the parts in good condition before you start

I actually ordered a dvd instruction by a mechanic doing a full engine swap step by step and included he offers tips about taking the tranny off and dropping it back in place. Its about 30 mins. I paid about 13 bucks for it.

best advice is take your time of and make sure the clutch pressure plate and flywheel are in good condition

well i'm buying a new clutch throw out bearing and flywheel. to go along with the used tranny i picked up.

yeah i just baught a new oem clutch and pressure plate and bearing it tore me a new butt hole but at least i know it will last a hell of a long time

so you are offering copy righted material? if the material is only 13 bucks, then just put a pointer to it so the person who made it can make their lousy 13 bucks. or does the original author give permission to use, distribute, and sell freely??

Probably because the omnipotent staff that makes 6 figure incomes running this sight didn't feel like it.

That, or the people that run this site are busy, volunteers (or paying to "work" here), and human... so they can miss certain things.

Well got it all done 8 hours later.... NOt fun at all. I guess at a shop with all proper tools and a lift etc... it would have way smoother. But o well its done now and is amazing to not have that aweful noise of the bearings inside grinding lol.. by the way anyone know if the gear ratios where different on the trannys??? just feels a little different
