ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    High idle problem??

When the car is in park or nuetral it idles perfectly. Drive gears and reverse it idles at about 1300-1500RPM...annoying as hell sitting at the light MASHING the brake to hold it there and loud a$$ idle... F22A6 with auto tranny. Any ideas as to whats causing this? I searched some...

i have the same problem but when i put in neutral i doesn't go back down >< I'm going to test out my IACV with multimeter or something tommorow.

I just look at Haynes Manual and came across Testing TPS with multimeter. They said if it broken or loose it could cause the Car to deliver bursts of fuels from the injector and Cause Unstable Idle (PG 6-8)

You might want to check DIY for Erratic Idle also.

Yeah, I have seen tons of stuff on the low idle or erractic idle but not really finding much on the high idle while under a load. I'll keep searching, maybe I'll bust the meter out tomorrow and test all my sensors also!!

try adjusting the idle screw on the left side of the the throttle body. use a flat head screw driver.

If it is idling high just in drive gears/reverse this will not fix it, adjusting that screw will just move the idle up or down in all positions. It's storming here or I'd be out with the meter checking things...(of course I have a garage, but cannot get a car in it right now, it's full of sh!t )

I have this problem, and I've found that if I take my foot and stick it under my gas pedal and pull up, it slows it down. I've just been too lazy to really fix the problem, that and the weather has been shit of late

I get no CEL with my problem. I really doubt the gas pedal pull up will work on mine, think I tried that when it first started. I may just start to swap out some sensors for extras I have laying around and on other motors. I'll keep posting with what I come up with...
