ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    which mod for more MPG?

Alright so I'm broke but I want to do more mods to help MPG

    I have $50 invest

New NGK wires($45) or a DYI ram intake (say about $30 from autozone using stock tubing and just putting on a 3" cone filter + inlet of 3")?

I drive like an old man, I don't push my car at all. So I've heard some say my MPG would go down with the RAM intake b/c I'd be "getting on it more" but thats not the case here lol

I would go ahead w/ the NGK's and run the stock airbox, only cutting off the bottom, that's pretty much a short ram but completely free. It's a great mod, there's a great DIY in the DIY section. Autodinamics on eBay has great NGK plug/wire packages for about $45 (even w/ NGK platinums) but I must warn you, he's quite slow at times w/ getting back to you.

keep your tires inflated to proper specs, make sure you have a clean air filter no matter which kind, and new wires, cap, plugs would definatly help. also lighten your load. If you have a bunch of junk in your car then that is not helping matters.

I always find the biggest truck on the highway and kinda follow him so I go in his slipstream and benefit in more MPG. Or just find an escalade to follow, those things are like bricks and take all the aero drag away if your following them. Mythbusters got like 40mpg in a Dodge Magnum by following truck....although really close, but 40mpg none the less.

            Hello,

Go with the upgraded electrical components. Sounds like you are being very thourough in saving gas, good job. To get much better mileage it sounds like you'll have to get out and push.

Tires are at 50 PSI per gassavers.org FAQ

Ride is harsh, MPG gain is great.

x2 i saw that show too and if you get within 5 feet of the semi you'll be shaving off the drag and getting more MPG!

but if you do that chances are you'll get injured badly lol.
