ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    help guys!!!!

can anybody supply me with ideas on what to do to my 90 f22a1 to squeeze power out? im thinking of porting and polishing my heads to increse air flow, but can't get the a4 headers since im also thinking about boost soon! im thinking ;ecm fuel rail, injectors, cam and gears, h23 int manifold(also smoothened out) and start putting in more hours at the job!

I guess the a6 head and h23 intake manifold would help out a bit.

dont bother buying a fuel rail or injectors unless you've got a built motor, or are running obscene amounts of boost.

How many heads and headers do you have on that motor?

Look up my thread on how to make 30+hp for under $500 on an F22A1.

Don't just do random work to your engine. If you're thinking about boost, a P&P job for an NA motor won't help. Make a plan, stick to it... and you'll make power.

Check HondaFan81's projects for some F22A NA ideas. As for boost... there are plenty of options. You don't really need to do anything to the head to make good power with turbo.

If you plan to turbo later then you want to make sure whatever you do is compatable with a supercharged instalation, which rules out CR increase to start.

FWIW, if I were in your shoes I'd be thinking about fitting a lighter flywheel. This won't make any power, but you'll be wasting less of what you are making spinning up a heavy FW, and the gains will still be there when you turbocharge it. Makes for faster gearshifts too.

ok i've asked a couple of people here but since nobody answered; which is better to install that can be chipped apt6 or p12

                        Neither can be chipped.

If you have the F22A6, or a dual-runner intake manifold, you want the pt6. If you have the F22A1, the P12 works well.

you ask the most random questions.

yes. what exhaust you run doesnt really matter. 2.5 is a little small but it will work fine. you can run turbo on a stock exhaust if you want. the intake can just become part of the charge piping. if you want turbo then a p12 or pt6 wont be a good idea. you will need something that can be programmed. standalone fuel management or at least a chipped ecu. a p06 is a good ecu to chip for an f22a1. the chipping is the easy part though you need to tune it for turbo. there is no way around that. tune the ecu or blow your motor up. those are the options.

i meant with the computer lol. well yeah i know about the tuning part naaded but i know a couple buddies who can do it, they have been trying to convince me into turbo some time now and well i think now is the time, the only reason keeping me from doing it is that i really don't fully understand the whole theory but im taking engine performance starting the 5th and gonna volunteer my engine to get worked on.
