ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    h23 ecu...f22a6

So, gotta f22a6. Automatic. I've been searchin' for about an hour now, tryna figure out if an Ecu from a prelude (h23), would put an advantage on my a6 Ecu I have now. I read up on the f22's in the preludes and accords (a1's), with the prelude havin' an extra 10 horses on the a1 in the accord, 'cause of the Ecu. Is that similiar from the h23 to the A6? Since they both have the IAB sytem and all. (In about 2 weeks, I'll be throwin' a h23 plenum on).

Nope just use the P12 ecu from the prelude if you can find one.

as a rule of thumb with ecu's, a stock sohc ecu will run a dohc engine and sohc. a dohc stock ecu will run only dohc engine, (ok it might run but not driveable or worthwhile).

but that p12 won't operate his butterflies on his A6 manifold.

I think you'd be better off sticking with the PT6 and swapping to the H23 plenum, the PT6 should be able to adjust to the plenum. If you switch to an aftermarket cam, thats when you should be looking at ecu tuning. Just look thru the ECU tuning section, lots of info there.

The P12 is not a significant upgrade for the A6. The ONLY ECU that might be good, and I'm trying desperately to find someone that can give more info on it, is a European ECU for the F22A7. Unless the specs I saw were a typo, this motor makes 150hp, and seems to be similar to the A6. If so, it might be a situation like the P12 for the F22A6. I can't get anyone to find any info, though! The specs I saw online might have been false.

I don't know for sure if the P14 (H23) ECU will do anything good for you, but probably not.

i have seen the specs you speak of and have seen the same corresponding specs on at least 3 different sites but can not verify the facts that ecu in theory should be some sort of upgrade from wikapieda

Well, see....the engine I have now, is an A1. BUT...I've exchanged the intake manifold from the A6, have an aftermarket header, and my IAB system works properly. Now, I took my plenum off already, and took the butterflies out.
So, not having the IAB system, I guess doesn't matter anymore. Once I get the plenum, I'll be purchasin' a spacer also, and on the DIY for the h23 plenum swap, the guy takes the butterflies completely out, and welds the holes. I still have the system and everything, just don't have the actual "wings" anymore. It helps, cause now they're open at all times. Very mean growl now. What exactly does the ecu in the f22a1 in the prelude..give the benefit to? Where's the extra 10 horses come from, from that Ecu? The only thing I don't have from th A6, to make my engine a complete f22a6, is the Cam. But, I plan on sendin' it somewhere, to get it shaved to a 260, so that's in the works. The only reason I won't take the butterflies fully out, is cause there's plug(s) that hook to it, so...if I was to unplug the stuff, don't wanna get a random CEL.

I own a CB3 (?!) Honda Accord Aerodeck (wagon) 2.2i with F22A7, it does indeed give 150HP, and I'm looking for ways to get data from the ECU in order to display consumption, speed, revs etc. while driving. Can the specs of the ECU be found anywhere on the case? I don't know where the ECU is, and how to get into it.

Yes, I'm a newbie in the tuning scene, so if you can point me in the right direction, I can tell you what type of ECU there's in the car.

Do you know the interface type (OBDI or pre-ODBI) of the ecu? Thanks in advance for any info.

                          chipped ecu with data logging.

                          obd1.

while driving you would probably need hondata s300 but why???

ecu is on passenger side under the carpet and a metal plate. cant miss it

Thanks a lot! I thought it was ODB0.

The reason I want to get the data is to improve economy. I drive a lot in the city, and it's starting to cost.

For reference: the ECU is probably PT3-A12 (though not sure).
