ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Coil-over question?

    Coil-over question?

Would I be able to use a set of coil-overs from a civic on my Accord? I really don't even know if they are from a civic I'm just assuming they are. I found four Honda struts in a car at the junk yard the other day and the coil overs look brand new. They where inside of a Nissan Altima that was sold as scrap metal and the car was filled with parts from various cars. I was thinking they may fit but the spring rate would probably different because of the weight difference between the models.

no...the parts on civics don't swap to accords. The cars are different in size...preludes and accords are similar...but not with civics. Too small

even if they would swap the spring rates are wrong and you wouldn't want to do it

...this has been asked before, someone found a civic in a junk yard with konis...but eh...don't work

Thanks for the info I tried a search but didn't come up with anything. I was just hoping it would work because I would only pay $20 for the set of four.

no probs...if you do find some shocks...I wouldn't recommend using used, unless you KNOW they aren't more than a year or two old...imo and if you REALLY need replacements bad...otherwise new is the only way to go, I can't honestly recommend using used coilovers and cheap ones at that...not a good idea...but it has been done.

and on the search...in the beginners section that's not too uncommon...get's crowded quick and a post that is only a month old get's pushed down REALLY quickly...makes it hard to find sometimes.
