Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

That type of fitting uses a flared end on the line to seal against a male flare of the same angle in the fitting. More than likely the flare is not seating flat against the fitting. Or if you cross threaded the line going in it will seat crooked. Pull the line and check the threads, check the flare surface. Sometimes you can loosen and seat it few times then tighten the crap out of it to make it seat. Or if you have a double flaring tool kit you can trim the tip of the line and reflare it.

Or is the line cracked at the rusty area?

get a BOSCH 71504 fuel filter. Trust me man. I've dealt w/ Autozone's one, another aftermarket one from Checker and then finally even an OEM one I got from Honda didn't work. Funny, that the Bosch one had a flat bottom while all the others had a rounded bottom. yet it never leaked. AFAIK, the Bosch one was the OEM one which had never been changed.

The only one that worked was the one that came out, which was the Bosch.

Go to the junk yard and take another fuel line.

J.B weld it if you into the ghetto quick fix.

Chemical resistant cauking if you REALLY into the ghetto quick fix.

Hell, ive fixed busted coolant lines with short sections or stainless steel piping in a pinch.

JB weld can work. Probably best as a temp fix though.

If I broke my fuel line I'll just weld that shit forreal and blow the car up for pissing me off.

If I read right you cracked the hard line just to the outside of the nut.

If so the safest easy fix will be to get a good piece of line from a downer car (junk yard) or have a shop make up a piece of line for you.

It can be patched in with rubber FUEL LINE and quality clamps.

About 10 inches or less back on the line were it fits to the filter there is a straight section that would be good for the splice.

Fuel line is special double end flared so getting a downer line is the best or cheapest way to go.

If you decide to try some of the other suggestions (JB weld.... etc) keep some weenies and a stick handy for your very own BBQ.
Take that freek show to the park, maybe the squirrels will care.

Ive used used rubber fuel line plenty of times on low pressure carburated engines. Would it hold up to the pressure in the fuel injected system. Another option is to cut the line back and make a new section with a double flare union fitting to connect the two together. The double flaring tool is not that difficult its a matter if you have room to use with the line still installed in there.

you can also try getting the doner line and compression fittings to join it up

sorry, still havent fixed the car and hadnt been on this forum to check responses.

i've cut the piping at the puncture and have all the tools for the flaring, but, im having trouble with the flaring. i dont have enough line to flare, the steel line starts to bend and i cant get the flare nut far back enough to use the flaring tool...

so question, if i take a doner line from the fitting back about 10 inches, how can i connect it to the original line on my car?

can i use a rubber fuel line? will it hold?

im for certain i will not use some ghetto JB weld
