ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    F23 or H22

Which is better for the CB overall. F23 VTEC or H22 VTEC?

H22 for performance, F23 for cheapness and maybe fuel ecom.

I agree with Norco... If you're looking for performance, definitely the H22... As the F23 is single cam vtec, and is towards fuel economy... Besides, there is WAY MORE aftermarket support for the H22 than the F23, but it depends on you....

I would say the H22 if you're looking for a performance increase. The F23 isn't really a performance upgrade, maybe a few horses. And if you're going to do a swap and wire up VTEC and whatever else, go with the H.

Does anyone know what the mileage estimates for F23 are vs the H22.

edit: its about 4 miles per gallon difference which would be the transmission for the most part so just get an H22 and an Accord transmission and you wont lose any fuel econ. That's just my 2 cents.

...another contributing factor would be the heavy-foot, but still... I lean towards the H22, and also the accord tranny*

h22 hands down. if i had my funds for it,it would be in already. the first time i drove 95 prelude with a built h22 I almost pissed and crapped my pants and then as i got more into honda's and found out i could put one of these motors in my cb7 I had i nutted my pants. a thing of god...

I have H22 in mine... as far as mileage... I burned a tank ALL high way 2 weeks ago.. 725KMs and the fuel light was just coming on. Easily could of gotten 750km.

Ive also seen me burn a tank in under 450km's when I get in a mood to bag on it.

The only other Hondas driven were my old school Prelude with a 1.7 and a swapped 6th gen Civic Coupe with a b16A2 and a Type R transmission so I dont really have much to compare it to. But I love mine!

I have yet to see someone on here that managed to get the F23 running right... I don't know why.

The F23 is NOT a performance motor in any way, and has less overall potential than the f22a you have now.

H22 if you want to swap. Unless you just want to be different (some guys cut their dicks off to be different... I don't get that either )
