ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

HOW TO adjust rear camber with <=1" drop

see the two bolts holding in the upper arm next to the spring? take on 2/3 out and one all the way out.

using longer bolts, insert washers between the unibody and suspension

and i used a magnet to hold em in place while i lined up the bolt

    torque to 38 Ft/Lb per ingallseng.com

didnt even have to use the buzz box, one thing i dont miss about working on jeeps

that's cool...and creative. kinda like using shims to adjust camber on gm vehicles. i liked using the camber kit from ingalls tho. made it a lot easier to adjust for street driving and for track days.

This is to adjust the camber after you lower a car, on a stock suspension set up you would be better off getting an alignment. The way this should look after you've finished is like a car with closer to 0 degress of camber. I'm not sure what you don't understand about what he posted, he took some washers and put them between the upper control arm mount and the body. If you don't understand that please put down the tools...
I second that motion. save yourself and your car por favor.

you should get your car aligned anytime you do something to your suspension. hell, you should get the alignment checked about every 6 months as preventative maintenance.

but ummmm, yeah. i kinda agree with the other guys. it may come off as rude, but they're right. an inexperienced mechanic more often does more harm than good. the best idea is to get a friend that can bend wrenches and work on the ride together and have him teach you. everyone's gotta start somewhere. hell, the first oil change i did i forgot to put the oil cap back on and when i shut the hood, the cap went through the hood. first day of a new job too. talk about embarassing.

haha okay...well i can do this however i was just wondering things before i start doing things to my car...i just like to know things before hand how it should turn out...cuz i thought this would lower my back because i dont like how it seems like its floating higher than the fron thats all.

nah, it won't lower the back. when you lower your car via various suspension changes, the tires lean in. that lean is your camber angle. leaning in is negative camber and leaning out is positive camber. those washers would be a way to correct that negative camber. or aftermarket camber kits are available that have adjustable camber so you can get it dialed in just right. i ran ingalls adjustable upper control arms on the rear and adjustable balljoints on the front. got a good aligner to align it (me lol) and had that sucker dialed in tight.
