ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    shocks and brakes

from what i was reading you also need to consider squeezing some of the shocks, springs and brakes in your budget now i basically am at the end of my budget and i need to know if any one can recommend what to buy pls

Brakes are more important than your shocks.

head over to http://www.tasauto.com and look up the brake packages.

If you dont want to change them yourself I think monro muffler and brake has a deal for $99 per axle set, which includes rotors and pads. I think labor too...

Also on a budget go for stock shocks and springs...
    Don't buy ebay springs.

For brakes, Brembo blanks are good, and there are plenty of decent pads to choose from (Brembo also makes fantastic pads). The ROH conversion from TASauto will make things easy, but it's an investment.

Suspension, if you want to go on a budget... KYB GR2s are a good choice for struts. Springs, you'll have to shop around for what you want... H&R, Neuspeed, Tein, Progress, Eibach... Get a good name brand. Cheap no-name crap is garbage.

If you can't afford at least the things mentioned above, don't waste your money. Save a little longer.

You can change the pads and rotors yourself because they are not that hard to do.
For springs and shocks, let the professionals deal with that because they have to compress the spring to put on new struts and shit on a machine.
Im pretty sure thats how it goes.

Springs and shocks are absolute cake. I can do a CB7 suspension myself in about 2 hours. The spring compressor can be borrowed for free from Autoz0one.

Pads are cake. I did mine in 15 minutes while on the phone.

Rotors... not so easy on our cars, unless you do the ROH conversion that I mentioned previously. You CAN do them yourself, but that's a case where it might just be less frustration to have it done professionally.

BLUBB2, you obviously have no experience doing ANY of this, so why are you giving advice on it?

i did my front rotors last year and got it done easily by getting an extra pair of knuckles and changing the rotors/bearings/lower ball joints in those knuckles then just swap over the knuckles 1-2-3. but i have been doing auto mechanical work since i was 8. not exclusively on hondas but all types of cars

i hate doing rotors, even after doing them like 5 times it still takes me 2 hours a side for some reason.
