problem

hey guys i posted alot here about my rpm's flying crazy while accelarating

right now i was gonna take off my igntion coil and my igniter and go get it tested at autozone,

but the guy said there that it wouldnt be any of those!!!!

he said something about fast idle something like idk what he said


what do u think its causing this
i been on it for awhile like 4 months why it goes crazy
it goes to 3 to 6
sometimes its riding at 7k while going 80 idk

something shit wrong

any ideas or clues and i drive alto to work
and dont wany my car to fuck up on me!!!!!!

well thats what i was gonna do get it checked out and i still have warranty under the piece and yea!

hmm cause i drive accelarate pass 3k it starts jumping or earlier than 3k

and makes my car run like shit
like it dont know what rpm its at!

soo go with the ingiter?

-does it cause the car to jump or mess up in acceleration also(car sputters)?

-does if have problems starting up?

-can you be driving and the RPMs just jump without the car messing up?

-since its an auto, have you seen your "Sports mode" light come on?



but if the RPMs are jumping it does sound like something dealing with the distributor. those idiots at Auto Zone dont know anything. OMG!! "the RPMs are jumping. that sounds like it the fast idle thermal valve."

Ya, that would be the ignitor. Had the same thing happen to me and swapped distributers. All the problems went away.

well when i drive like i smash it and it like revs to 8k or 7 k and it like sputters and like like its fucking revving alot!!!!

and i drive normal it drives
but under heavy load u can really feel it
but it just goes crazy!

the car starts up fine no problem
ideles normal at 700

and my car dont have sports mode
its a 92 accord ex coupe

I think he means his tach goes crazy up to 8k. It will do that when your ignitor is takin a $hit.

update people!!!

hey i had warranty on the igniter and the rotor
soo i just replaced both the rotor was good but i still replaced it.

and put it in
replaced the o ring and stuff

i marked a line on the distributor that way i wont loose my timing
and
put everything on together crossed fingers it fixed it and it did!!!

it fixed my problem
now my car runs smoother than b4!!!
