ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Don't want to do an engine swap, yet. This one doesn't have enough miles on it...

So you really think a Delta would be a better bang for my buck?

Bisi>Delta but Delta is about half the price.

has there ever been a comparison?

Percentage wise, a solid 10% over stock would be nice, possibly more.

I'm also looking down the road as to what would be best for a NA build.

Custom CAI, Tork Stepped Hedman header, Magnaflow high flow cat, Magnaflow cat-back, P12 ECU (LOL), and soon to be an A6 intake manifold with double stacked IABs (with working butterflies) and H23 throttle body and plenum. I was going to get the TB bored and plenum and intake port matched, but that can easily be done at a later date.

If I have nothing better to do this weekend, I'll pull the P12 and put the PT3 back in or PT6 in it.

If I get out there and pull it this weekend, you can probably have it within a week.
If I don't get out there and pull it, probably next weekend.

Is it worth it? I enjoy it. Feels like a completely different car. I installed it to get some super easy and quick HP for the time being. Eventually I was going to work on an NA build and go with a different ECU and pass this one on to someone else, but it looks like I'll be doing that sooner then I wanted or expected.

there's is some people on this site that change sometimes the meaning of things
                      like:

the double spacer and buttefly issue, dont think its for u froots, but listen,

i did the diy on the spacers, worked on the f22,h23, tried it on the h22,
sounds means as fuck, vtec was loud and it pulled from 5k-6k after that i felt like a stock single cam with no rev limiter

ive read a lot here that when somebody important says something everybody tends to follow ex:

someone said the iab box was NECESSARY cuz it controlled the butterflies and it gave u low end blah blah blah, some started bashing at others when they did the a6 mani swap and did not connect the IAB box

some said that the f22 head is one of the best flowing honda heads, people started saying f22 head swaps if the MF way to go

not everything u read here is true

                      my advice:

ur straight, delete the butterlies, and if ur gonna change cam and have some money go DELTA + pt6 or p12

So you're telling me not to bother with the butterflies and go with a Delta cam?
I can understand the butterfly issue, I've been debating it a lot. Requires a bit more work to get them to work and was wondering if it was even worth it (does it really help on the low end?). I think you've helped my decide working butterflies or not.

Can you elaborate a bit further on the choice/suggestion in cam? Isn't a Delta a pretty generic regrind? Wouldn't a Level 1 or 2 Bisi cam be better down the road for my NA build?
