ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    mad hesistation and e-brake light

lately since it got my car back from the mechanic, well it rained a whole lot this weekend so mayb my shit just need 2 dry out or something. but lately, my car had been hesistating a whole lotttt. it used 2 kinda do this before my pulley went. and i had a torn head gasket apparently at the time too. this is all before i took it to the mechanic. now the car runs fine, just last night was hestitating alot below 2000rpms. i mean alot..its to the point i can never floor it or she just bogs n crawls. i gotta let off the throttle allllot to even get her 2 move. last night for the first time me ebrake light comes n stays on. at one point it went off, not for long. so mayb the hesitation is from the ebrake or something... ima check my wiring for my head unit since it was acting up last night as well as take off my ebrake cover n check it out...any ideas? ive changed the dizzy, plugs, battery, alternator...just did the fuel filter yesterday...my next trip 2 the mechanic will b belts n water pump...but any ideas about the hesistation and ebrake light? my alt light also came on 2 times, but i turned off the car n she was str8.

okay i started her up this morning, after i had 2 get a jump, n shit...the deck was losing power intermittently, and the fact that the alt. light was on plus a drained battery...the alternator belt looks bad too tho..def. needs 2 change. could that be the cause of my hesitation issue?

What did the mechanic do to the car? You mentioned a blow head gasket did he fix that? If he did... why in the hell didnt he do your waterpump and timing belt and all of your gaskets and seals that he could? A freakin new belt costs like $20... I dont think they would put a bad belt back on after tearing down the engine.

Check your center console for your ebrake. Here is the PDF to check it out.

Sounds like you might have a phantom load somewhere draining the battery while the car is off. Check your glove compartment... I had the same problem till I found my damn glove compartment light wasn't turning off when the door was closed... that was a tricky one to figure out too!

That hesitation that you are talking about sounds pretty serious btw! Maybe really off timing or messed up camshaft, bad injectors. Find a new mechanic if he didn't point out whatever the problem was and he just fixed the head gasket... that's just stupid!

lol, no he did all the gaskets and seal cuz my cam seal needed changing as well as the lower spark plug tube seals so i bought the entire set n he shaved the head, the whole deal. the belts never squealed before, n they werent squealing after i left, this has just been a couple days now..my timing belt was in great condition, it had been replaced as a precaution before i bought the car. either way a water pump and belts are next. i already checked out the brake console this morning, cleaned it out n stuff, nothing in theres messed up, the connectors fine, when the ebrake is pulled up the light gets brighter...what else exactly should i check?
