ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Should these be plugged in?

I've been fighting an intermitant hesitation/stuttering problem for quite a while now and as I was looking around this afternoon, I saw these two cable dangling loose. Any ideas what they are? And any idea where they should be plugged in? The blue cable is directly under the glove box in the passenger wheel-well. I took off a couple pieces of plastic in the area and couldn't see anything obvious for it to plug into. The orange plastic is under the passenger seat - again, I don't see anything obvious for it to plug into. It's probably unrelated to the overall problem I'm dealing with, but it seemed worth asking about!

Thanks in advance for the help!

the blue one is your service connector that reads your check engine lights if you have one on by inserting a paperclip into the plug to jump it. It is supposed to be not connected to anything. The brown one I'm unsure, I believe that is the connector to your seat belt sensor.

As for your stuttering problem, it just might be a dirty IACV, does it only happen at idle?

No, the blue one is for you to diagnose problems if you have a Check Engine Light, ABS Light or Flashing D4 or S light. The orange one I forgot but its just there it shouldn't be plugged in to anything.

        The top one, no.

The other one should hook up to your seat (somewhere down there).

Edit. Dangit I was beat by two people...

I was wrong that does look like the seatbelt plug, however there is another orange plug under the rug on the driver side that just sits there.

It might have been from when the 90-91s had a sensor for auto belts that wasnt used for 92-93s?

I found it on my old 92 coupe. I'll see if I can find a thread on it I remember posting when I was a noobie.

No, it happens primarily between 1800-2500RPM and even when it doesn't stutter, it feels...well...sluggish. I just have to push the throttle hard to get it out of that power range & then I feel the engine free up again. Here's the thread on that issue: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=114137. It runs fine at idle & at higher RPM's.

I've gotten conflicting information from mechanics. One says that I probably have a torque converter going bad, another one says that the EGR valve probably needs to be replaced. I've seafoamed, replaced the dizzy (the first thing the mechanic said was the problem - it wasn't...), new spark plugs/wires/tubes/etc. I've seen the DIY for cleaning the EGR ports, but haven't done that yet since I still need to get the blanks to put in after I drill out the existing ones (and, theoretically the seafoam should have helped with that). Do you know if there is a DIY for replacing the EGR valve? I've searched but not found one. And it's been a long time since I've had a transmission fluid flush, so I might get that done (yes, with genuine Honda tranny fluid - I've seen those discussions) and see if that helps. Any other ideas?

Meanwhile, THANK YOU to all who responded about the loose cables. It's nice to know that those are completely unrelated to this ongoing problem.
