ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

getting ready for a JY run. :) help with IDing cars >.>

ok, so 2 of the things i want to get are a legend lip and a h23 IM possibly, at least get the spacer

so for the legend 91-93 it looks like ka7 and ka8 are some ID#'s in the vin... but it looks like those are the vins for 91-95. is there a way to tell if its 91-93 vs 94-95?

as for the prelude was it like ba8 or something? i just wanna make sure i get the parts from the right cars.

does anyone else have any tricks for ID'ing cars at a jy? im still new to all this so i cant really tell the difference. thx.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

well as an update for my JY run...

    i got a...

    front motor mount
license plate bracket for the front
passenger sun visor w/mirror and light (matching color)
    rear view mirror
    integra clock
driver side power folding rear view mirror (matching color)
2 rear door handles to put on my front doors (matching color)
    gas cap door (matching color)
iab plate with the butterflies to use as a spacer
    a6 black box
    h23 tb/plenum/iab plate with butterflies

all in all not a bad day.

The lip you want is a coupe legend lip, ka8 I belive, and the h23 manifold should bolt up just fine I can't tell you what chassis code would be the best one I believe they all work.

just look for a 91-95 legend and see if you see a coupe version of the lip or the sedan version, either will fit, but the coupe will fit better and go along the entire front end of the bumper.

For preludes, the H23 mani can be found on 92-96 preludes as well as 97-01 preludes I believe. The H23/H22 plenums are the same, its just the runners that go underneath that are diff. You'll need specifically the 92-96 prelude ones for that.

any way to ID the 92-96 preludes with those parts? any numbers or something?

and i only want the 91-93 legend coupe lip. i dont want it to fall short, and the 94-95 looks like both coupe and sedan are longer so sedan would fit length wise but the opening is longer in the middle i think. i can wait if i dont find the lip. i have my oem ex lip on my car anyway. i just like the coupe 91-93 legend one way better.

also, do i need to make sure to get automatic parts since my cb7 is an auto? (till i do a manual swap down the road muhahahaha!)

with stuff like side markers other electrical, how far back do i need to go part wise?

the complete housing and the bulb pigtail? farther back? just some general tips for getting parts from a JY. ive never gone except to get a bumper from a bumper only place :P

Best would to cut the wire and take everything, even the screws.

I used to have a Legend but know nothing about them. As far as the prelude I would just check the block where it would be stamped "H23".

                Prelude is BB4 or BB6. It's highly unlikely that you'll find a BB6 in a junkyard, though.

Anything with flip-up headlights has nothing for you... aside from maybe the steering wheel.
