ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Hub adaptor spacers????

I was searching on my local craigslist and noticed someone selling an
hub adaptor spacer. the ad said that i can convert my 4 X 114 lugs set up to
a 5 x 114. Is this an good option to use a 5 lug wheel? I wanted to put the 5th generation accord v-6 5 poke rim or the tl 5 spoke on my cb. I just wanted to know if this was safe to use. thanks

No way. It's for sale for a reason. Iv'e seen damage and potential death from such items. not cool. That's why I'm converting the right way.

They work if you use them for daily driving. When too much stress is put on them, they can snap. Not from the 5 lug but your 4 lug that is holding the 5 lug.

It also changes the geometry of the assembly... pushes your wheels out pretty far. That can cause some issues.

If you want 5 lug, do it the right way... that's not something you want to mess with. NEVER cheap out on suspension, tires, or brakes. Your life depends on tham. At least your engine, exterior, and interior (for the most part) are just an annoying expense when something breaks.

I've seen these all over ebay lately, mostly the 4x114.3 to 4x100, and 4x100 to 4x114.3.

I would be careful with these. Your lugs are designed to have a wheel directly on them, not some ebay adapter. I would save my money and do the swap the right and safe way.

It is your car and your money so do what you want. I just would not expect anyone to have any sympathy for you if/when something breaks and you total your car injure yourself or quite possibly innocent bystanders.
