ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    Windshield washer nozzles problem

Here's my problem: when I try to use the windscreen washers, most water just flows across the hood. If I keep pressing, a weak spray might reach the windscreen, but not nearly as strong as it should.

I'm not really sure what the problem is - I tried cleaning everything, but that only helped for a few days. I even replaced the washer nozzles, and that fixed the problem temporarily, but after about 10 days it was back. Why would it re-clog so often? Or is the washer motor too weak?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks...

sometimes dirt collects at the bottom of the washer tank and disrupts flow. later.

you should look under and around your car also. you could have a leak. some of the flex joints on mine were cracked and leaking slightly. itll reduce pressure and cause this to happen as well. i ended up replacing those parts.

check everything that was said above, then if that isnt it, your pump might be dying. if you use the squirters a lot or if there was a defect in the impeller or something then it could only be pumping a fraction of what its supposed to be.

While you're at it, hit up a JY and see if you cant find a pair of nozzles off of a 6G accord(98-02). They had the wide fan spray.

Mine come and go. Sometimes they work, sometimes they dont. I probably need to empty and clean the reservoir and flush the tubes.

I think I'm going to see if I can get some new ones of those for cheap, I know the dealer wanted 25 bucks a pop for CB squirters.
                    wat?

If new CB nozzles were $25ea then new CG nozzles might be more...

I forgot about that! I did that a while back and they do fit, BUT the nipple is 90 degrees different from the cb, I believe they face towards the front bumper, as opposed to the CB pointing them towards the drivers side fender. Because of this I had to buy some extra hosing since the stock hosing is cut just long enough for the stock ones.

You can kinda see it in my sig, to the right of the moon reflection. The stock ones were white, the ones I picked up are black

I got mine from a junkyard car, but 6th gens rarely show up. This one had had a major accident and all the little nik-naks were in great working order. It promptly disappeared from the junkyard soon after I picked the nozzles off....

I got some hosing from a hardware store, all you need is a couple feet of clear hosing, should be with plumbing stuff, cut by the foot. Same kind of stuff you'd use for bleeding brakes or coolant. Just take a nozzle in with you to make sure it's the correct inside diameter and will stay on without leaking.
