ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Flat tire on the highway!

So today I was coming home from school and my car starting shaking wildly. Luckily I was able to literally seconds later get to a complete stop. I didn't know what was wrong, I check under the car first, nothing was hanging. And then boom, my right front was flat. Idk what caused it but it sucked. So I got the donut on and then 5 minutes later that was flat. So can I get a donut fixed? and how are plugging tires. Is it worth it?

if the side walls weren't damaged due to running flat and there's a good chunk of rubber left on the tires.. then get it plugged.. not to mention the cost of having it plugged vs. cost of a new tire...

Does a plug hold for long? Is it hit or miss with those?

NEVER put fix a flat in a tire....it just causes a mess and a headache for the tire guy.....me. Go to Discount Tire co. they do FREE, yes FREEEEEE, flat repairs. And they also plug it the right way, patch, plug and then a coat of rubber sealant on the inside so the plug/patch doesn't come undone. Oh and did I mention it was free? okay i think i did.

As for the spare, just go to a JY and find a good condition spare in the back of a CB7, I always find them there...could be had for a couple of bucks.

one time i saw an ED chassis civic sitting cocked to one side like it had a flat, but it had rims and low profiles on it, i couldnt see the side which was lower (pass. side in the oncoming lane) but about 100 meters down the road i saw a rim matching his spinning on the sidewalk, i never laughed so hard.

                      fix-a-flat stuff suckkkkks!

It is a messy waste of time, I am surprised that it is even legal to advertise that as a legitimate way to fix a flat time. There is some green goo that I have used in wheel barrow and trailer tires but I wouldn't put it in a car tire.
