ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Best way to replace the rear engine mount

It seem there are several ways to replace the rear engine mount.

    1. take off the intake manifold (from above)
    2. take out the left axle and come from below
    3. use long extensions, take out the front mount, take out the fuel filter and canister and slide the mount to the side.

It seems method 3 could be the easiest, especially since I have to change the fuel filter anyhow. What do you guys think?

it seem there was a Honda TSB describing method 2, but the link in the thread here does not work anymore. Can anyone point me to a working link for the procedure?

take your intake tube off, you can get to it from the side like that

When I replaced mine I took the intake off, the black box beside it, and then unbolted it from up top. I got under the car and lifted the motor from the back where the back bracket is so it goes forward and then took it off and put the new one on. I did all this with just two jack stands and a jack

I removed my intake tube (not the manifold), got a few long extensions... and a friend with strong, skinny arms. Then I watched.

I've found it easier to take the throttle body off as well. You have to be gentle with it so you don't mess up the gasket, or just have another one on hand. The felpro one is under $10.

when we were putting my motor back in from the swap thats all we did was have the intake tubing off. and lined it up and got it from the side, and any movement needed nic moved the cherry picker

Brandoncb7 - I don't mean to come across like an ass but I see why you irritate Aaron now.

How do you guys get it off by just taken the intake tube off?

I finally had the time to look at it and there is a hose just to the left of the mount that seems to precluded removal without taking the manifold of. Or do you remove this hose, too?

Just losen all the mounts a LITTLE enough to give it some wiggle room. Keep the car on stands and jack the engine up using the a good spot on the block/trans. just some ideas
