ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Cracked Piston ringland

After owning my 90 Accord for 2mos it started smoking wildly so I parked it and just disassembled it today to find a cracked piston ringland. It actually wasn't running terrible just smoked a lot when I drove it home prior.

    Compression Test results were: 180-150-20-180

Anyone have a spare bottom end laying around? or know where I could find one?

I'm located in Lancaster, PA approx 1.5hrs from Philadelphia.

ouch!! damn, you got some work cut out for you. how much did you pay for it? 2 months isnt even close to having the newness wear off. i cant help you, only sympathize. im no expert by no means, but, could you replace the piston, and hone the cylinder? quik fix for a quik sell.sounds crummy to dump it on someone else, but.......someone did it to you.
    you'll love my nuts!

If you want to buy something, wait until you get to the Classifieds, or this thread will be deleted.

Check out Harry's Pick N Pull. They have lots of CBs there, or they did when I was there. They have days where full engines are like $65 too.

Gotcha, I'll eagerly await my time for the classifieds.

Yeah been to Harry's before in Hazelton ripping off 14B's off DSM's like it was my job.

As for the hone option its almost like the piston was melting from lots of detonation so I may want to diagnose a fuel delivery problem before just dropping in something new!

As an update this was completed awhile ago. Had the Block rehoned and everything checked. Power is back, Not one puff of smoke. Drove it 100 miles the first day and it drives like a stock F22 should. Compression in #3 is back up to spec also!

Now working on upper control arms and brake pads to get it inspected so its 100% roadworthy.
