ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Ur not gona have a nice ride with coilover sleeves, but back to ur question. Koni yellows work well and have adjustable dampning(stiffness). Or if ur on a budget, KYB GR2s is ur best bang for ur buck

GR2's are OEM replacement so i think they will eventually start taking a beating. koni yellows are sick. maybe tokico hp blues or illuminas as they are adjustable. as for kyb, i know the agx's are better for a higher dropand are adjustable, but they are also said to be drop killers, meaning they will keep your car a little higher than if you were on another set of struts. hope this helps.

                Koni Yellows.
They're adjustable, and are good shocks for drops.

tokico hp (blues) are also stock replacement. many people say they wear out really fast. gr2s seem to last longer.

koni yellows are the best you can get for our car. megan racing also has full coilovers that are supposed to be amazing. copies of the tanabe sustec in think

                        coilover sleeves are garbage

if the op is getting knockoff coilover sleeves (megan racing is a knockoff company even though theyre one of the better ones) im sure the next post will be 'oh konis are too expensive'

If your going for a 3in. drop, I wouldn't use Tokico HP's or KYB Gr2's they are both stock replacements and will blow under that stress.

Koni's would most likely be one of your best bets.

KYB AGX's are nice but if you put them on a 3in. drop it voids the warranty.
                          3 CB's gone....
                          1 WK Overland....

Still miss the CB though......maybe one day.

haha actually money is not an issue i have 15k saved to invest into what i want.. i just wanted to use megan racing for alot of stuff... because i never really hear anything about them and i like to be different lol.. i find the koni yellows to be a resonable price compared to some i have seen. and i looked at the full coilovers from megan racing but there is not for the specs of my car... so i may just get a diff set from somwhere else that offers a full set...

and im prolly not goin the full 3in i just want to get rid of some of the gap between the tires and fenderwells... plus i live where the roads arent all smooth so i gotta avoid going to low on the count of bottoming out lol

kyb agxs blow under that sort of drop as well.

konis are best. ive seen gr2s survive with a 3" drop or more. not good, but for stock replacement cheap shit thats what i would get. but i have konis. so thats a moot point
