ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    CB7 Performance - No mods

My CB7 Accord is bone stock...Well, I swapped out the airbox for a K&N E-0774 filter and I'm running Castrol Syntec Blend oil...Anyway, here's what happened...

I decided to race a 2000 Honda Prelude Type SH from stoplight to stoplight 1/4 mile distance. He had a manual transmission, I have an automatic. We both opened WOT off the line, and right off the line, I took half a car's length lead and kept it until I hit third gear, then the Prelude pulled a full car's length lead. In the end, he was only able to take a lead of 3 cars' lengths on me in 1/4 mile. I could hear his tires chirping as he upshifted, so I knew he was racing, and we were both going WOT. Any idea as to what time that run was?

Are you asking what a stock cb7 will run the 1320 in or are you asking if someone can tell you what you ran that night from light to light?

What I am asking is this: Since the Prelude was 3 cars' lengths ahead of me in the quarter mile, how many seconds slower was my car? I had heard that 1/10 second is one car length in the quarter, but I don't know if that's true or not.

this really depends on how fast each car is moving.

my auto F22A6 w/ boltons did a 17.1 best time. So for your's being stock, I doubt you can be any quicker than that. Preludes do 15.5s or 15s.

actually a system and 3 passengers = 500 - 700 lbs of extra weight, it would be a huge difference (not saying that this was necessarily the case)

The guy in the Prelude had a passenger...I dunno about the stereo, but he did have a passenger...Though both guys were teenagers and I doubt either of them weighed more than 200lbs.
