ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Dude unless you're powering a 1000 watts or more, I wouldnt really use one. Yes, it could help with songs with repetitive bass so that each note hits hard instead of decreasing slightly but other than that its not too neccessary.
I have 2 10''s and a 400 watt amp and i've never needed it.
thats just my .02 though! take it easy!

Yes and No
You do not need it.
They are sort of nice to have on the other hand, If you are planning on running underdrive pulleys or a larger system some day then you can get it.
I have a 15 Farad, yes it is overkill, but I got it cheap and it was a good brand.
Honestly it is up to you, It isn't going to hurt anything, but you won't notice a difference.

400 watt amp? I dont even think you're pushing your subs enough. 1 farad is good enough for most of OUR sound system needs.Originally posted by bhksk8r View PostDude unless you're powering a 1000 watts or more, I wouldnt really use one. What battery are you running? Are you still on the stock alternator? A capacitor can simply be a bandaid for a potential bigger problem. they're nice to have but when your not moving and spinning the alternator your lights and everything will still dim.
first suggestion would be to upgrade your battery to something like an optima yellow top or another battery that was meant to handle a lot of abuse from extra electric equipment.

Very good questions. Its always good to have a good battery, especially a yellow top. Upgrade all ground points in the engine bay, and make sure the alternator is not on its way out.Originally posted by mcdizzle View PostWhat battery are you running?
