Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Thought starter was bad changed it and nothing please help!!!!

    sup everyone here's the issue... i since i bought my 93 ex two weeks ago i already noticed that the starter was cranking weak...eventually after driving for a couple of days it got to a point that it would struggle to crank, and then it died...i checked my battery and alternator with a diagnostic tool and they were fine...the starter would turn but barely like it slow motion....so i got a rebuilt one changed it out, made sure to connect both wires to it and to reconnect my battery terminals....and now it does'nt even try... all the lights on the dash light up but nothing...i made sure my neg terminal was grounded right and that none of the wires came loose in my fuse box....i'm stuck please help!!!

    clean your battery cables and terminals. sounds like your battery has power but cant deliver it.

      Have you had your battery checked out and its fully charged, I ask because I saw you talked about testing the starter with a dia tool and I think the alternator. Also there is a ground next to the fender coming off the battery if that's not connected well it may give you a slight problem starting, I know I had the problem.

          Take a jumper cable and run it from the neg battery terminal to the engine block. If it starts then you have a bad engine ground.

            my bets on the switch but the grounds could also be bad.........

              got it!! even though the battery tested good with the tester i had at home...Godchild came to my crib and ran a jumper from the battery positive directly to the starter and it tried to crank but all the lights went dim and then i figured to check the battery at advance...i went and the damn battery was bad!!! so thanks to Godchild he had a spare red top optima and now i got new optima and starter and boy does it crank nice

                yep yep ,even though when i originally checked 3 days ago it tested flawless idk how the hell the battery was dead as a door nail.glad to help out.........i always like to see a nice runnin cb7 ,now strip the p/s,a/c,and cc and slap a turbo in that shit and we can talk more.......

                  so the battery was good before but its dead now? you have something draining it, or your alternator isn't charging it properly. might want to address that before this battery dies on you too.
