ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Shaky Steering Wheel :(

So when I'm on the highway going about 80mph and I'm pressing the brakes to slow down...my steering wheel starts to shake really bad and its getting pretty aggravating now

What i try to do it not slow down so fast so that it doesn't shake 2 much

Sometimes it even happens to me when I'm going a little fast on main streets like 50mph or something then i start to slow down and it still occurs as well.

I DO NOT have ABS in my car if that has anything to do with it.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could be and how what do i need to get it repaired?

did you break them in properly? did you use new pads with them?

just because they are new doesnt mean that they cant be warped.

Check your control arms and front motor mount and make sure they are in good condition, i had the same prob with my car and the front mount was toast and so were the arms.

This was happening to me, and it was my upper control arm bushings. The only way to can get the upper control arm bushings, without having to buy the entire arm (with the bushings included), is energysuspension. If you go to Advance, they can have 'em ordered the next day. It's good though, because it's an entire kit. I replaced my upper ones, and now my lower ones are bad, so I already have the lower ones that came in the kit.

This is normally a rotor problem though. You'd here clickin' and clackin' upfront if it was the upper bushings.

If you wanna check, I found out by the people at Sears when they went to do my alignment. They said "we could pretty much wiggle your upper control arm, your bushings are bad". I was like, yea yea. Went home and checked, and yup. If your arm power can wiggle it back and forth (not up and down), then bushings are your next road to go. Most people suggest buying the entire control arm, including the bushings AND ball joint.

i already got my lower ball joints changed so im guessing it might be the control arms...im going to have to check that out then.
