ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It is a direct fit... kinda. The problem is the mounting bracket is wrong, here's a picture to explain.

DA 4040 on the left, OEM CB7 3030 on the right

Some people don't bother swapping the bracket and just stick it on and that works just fine. And the reason they don't bother swapping the bracket is that you have to take the prop valve apart to swap the bracket, which then you run the risk of it leaking, either right away or later down the road.

IF you want to swap the bracket, here is how I did mine.

First thing is to remove the tamper proof torx screw (you'll need a T30H torx bit).

Step 1: Insert the OEM prop valve into a bench vise to hold it together because once the screws are removed the prop valve comes apart and all of the little pieces and parts will try to fall out or fly out, so be careful!
Step 2: Remove the screws then slowly release it from the vise.
Step 3: Repeat step one with the DA prop valve, and do NOT remove it from the vise, keep it clamped in.
Step 4: With the DA prop valve still clamped in the vice, position the OEM CB7 bracket into the correct location and install it.
Step 4a: IF the DA prop valve needs to be adjusted in the vise so that the OEM bracket can be installed use extreme caution. Slowly release the vise and make certain that nothing falls out of the prop valve. Check and make sure the mating surfaces are clean and the springs and washers are all in their correct place, then reinsert the DA prop valve into the vice and compress the two halves together, then install the bracket.

Inside are two springs (a large one and a small one), two washers, and a rubber seal.

        No problem.

And I forgot to add it's been about eight months and my prop valve hasn't started leaking from swapping the bracket. Fingers are still crossed though...

The stock 3030 prop valve will work just fine. I noticed a slight difference in braking power when I went to the 4040, seemed like it wasn't braking with just the front anymore, kinda more evenly.
Also you will need to get the prop valve off of an Integra or from a car originally with rear discs that does not have ABS.
