ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Anthing wrong with cheap ebay exaust?

Wondering if there is any reason not to get a cheap ebay exaust?

all it is is a metal pipe isn't it?

Or is it going to be a waste of money

Iuno, this is all I came up with.

I'm pretty sure it'd sound just like you chopped the muffler off your stock exhaust, and added a fart can, but 3 times as loud. Reason being, and the reason people wouldn't recommend it, is because it's 2.5" piping. 2.5" piping is only recommended if you're pushing a bit more power, like an h22. 2.25" piping for stock (intake & header), f22. 2.5" piping on a pretty much stock f22, you'll lose some low-end.

I have that exhaust, but, mine came with a header too. It's not loud at all, if you use the oem cat, if you use the "high flow cat" it'll sound like shit. My car isn't loud, raspy, nothing. I think total, with a header, "high flow cat" all the piping, and muffler, it was, I wanna say like 260, shipped

Holy shit! I just watched that video, mine sounds NOTHING like that

I purchased a cheap ebay header for my cb7. The piping seemed rather thin, but the material looked to be of reasonable quality. It hasn't fallen apart or anything. My biggest gripe is that the bars for the hangers were not really located in the right place, requiring some serious bending on my part. Aside from that, I've been running these for 1.5-2 years without issue.

Not exactly the product in question, but likely comes from the same factory.

I would say watch out for fitment issues. I bought one years ago and it wasnt bent properly. It was ceramic, so they couldnt bend it to where it wouldve fit. I was able to retain the axle-back, but the rest was fabbed at the shop.

Don't listen to people who don't have any experience with these parts and say that it must be crap because it is cheap.
They are made very well, the fitment is as good as any $500-600 aftermarket exhaust. They don't rust; it will last for years, even if you live in an area where the roads are salted daily in winter.
Those exhausts are not THAT loud, but can get annoying on long trips...BUT they come with a silencer and with the silencer it sounds just like the stock exhaust. It takes ONE minute to install the silencer.
It is also a good bang for the buck because the F22 responds well to breathing mods and you can actually feel a nice power difference when going from the stock exhaust to the "ebay" exhaust (60mm diameter)

FYI, those exhausts are NOT 2.5". Their outer diameter is 2 3/8" (or 60mm). The inner diameter is 2.25" which is the perfect size for a stock or lightly modded F22.

the only thing wrong is the lack of ANOTHER good Magnaflow resonator and i bit quieter muffer. no personal experience, but if the bends are good, MORE than worth the buy IMO.

I didn't have any fitment issues, don't see any rust, and I live in an area where it snows like crazy in the winter, the salt and shit from the roads don't seem to be doing it any harm, this is the 2nd winter I've had it on.

                              I say, go for it
