ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Getting a code 43 only when going up a hill...

I bought a stock 93 ex wagon with 120K miles. Everything cool for the most part (except a little more engine shake at idle than I would like) but I live on a hill and everytime I do the 5 mile drive up (1400ft elevation) the engine light comes on. It gives me a code 43, ie fuel system. No noticeable difference in performance however.

The next time I use the car, the light is back to off. And it will stay so as long as I am driving on the flatland, only to come back after I go up a long hill.

From what I read about code 43 it could be a lot of little things so I figured I would ask here if anyone has run into this case where it only appears after climbing...

    Thank you for any help

    Bo

Maybe it's throwing it because the fuel sending unit is getting a false reading from going up hill. Thats my guess i'm sure there will be more.

Don't know about the code 43 but as far as a rough idle...

Honda tends to place the steering rack and the rear motor mount on the same subframe. Engine vibrations are sent right up the steering column. Of course this only applies to auto tranny cars. If you think the Accord is bad you should drive my 88 Prelude SI. Hondas seem to take a Loooong time to COMPLETELY warm up. Both the 93 Accord Wagon and the Prelude take at least 1/2 hour of driving before they idle decently. At long traffic lights I will put my left foot on the brake and raise the idle up to 1,000 rpms with my right foot.

That's what I was gonna say. When your going up a hill, the fuel sending unit might be thrown off with the fuel being pushed to the back of the tank. Perhaps the unit is going bad?
