ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

No, it wouldn't really help. Read this, it will help you understand some things since you are new to modding.

there is a certain rsx-type s muffler you can use too. use the search on the site cuz i cant think of which year rsx it was from. i'd show you my in cabin video but all you really hear is the h22 not the exhaust lol. idle was really quiet. the car was quiet enough to not get harrassed by cops all the time. i was followed a few time but they couldnt pull me over. it says honda on it so if they say its aftermarket show them the honda logo on it. if they complain about your pipes say you got them replaced cuz it had a hole in it. it was only loud when i floored it

that i dont know. just look for local peeps who modded their rsx or s2k and have no need for the muffler. i posted a wanted ad up on a local florida car forum and bought one 2 or so days later. actually ended up being a member on here lol

Opening the exhaust up will give a gain in power, but not a huge one. To really make a significant difference with the F22A, you really need to work on the head and replace the cam. The F22A has a LOT of potential (take a look at Bisi Ezerioha's drag Insight making 400hp with a naturally aspirated F22... heavily modified, of course!)
If police attention is an issue, you'll want to stay stock, use a stock higher performance muffler like the S2000 or RSX-S (both have been used with nice results), or get a system like the Apexi World Sport 2, which is very quiet.
A header (you only have one) does very little unless you get a GOOD one. The only really good one for the F22A is from Bisimoto (same guy with the Insight), and costs a pretty penny. WELL worth it if you're truly serious about performance, and cheaper than comparable headers for other motors (Bisi is cool about keeping the scene alive, not milking tuners for every dime they have). Still, it's possible to buy a CB7 for less than the cost of that header!
I WILL have one someday...
A "high flow cat" isn't really necessary. Honda cats flow well enough as it is, so there's no real need to go "high flow", or get a hollow test pipe. DO NOT ever hollow out your cat, as it will increase noise and actually reduce performance.
If you want to shell out cash for a high flow cat, get one that actually does something. Go to www.sms-products.com and get one of theirs. They are the makers of the famous SMSP header for the H22, so they know what they're doing. They aren't extremely expensive (prices range from $100 to $300), and you'll get something that actually works.

The stock F22 iron manifold looks like a pretty sorry piece to me. No cross over for cyls 1 & 4. It's a simple 4-1 setup. A header would be 4-2-1.
A hi-flow catalytic converter is simply a regular cat with larger inlet/outlet pipes to match the rest of the modified exhaust system's pipes.
If I were tuning an F22, the exhaust system is where I would start.

The manifolds are different on the various F22A motors. The one you are describing is the F22A1.Originally posted by dano28 View PostThe stock F22 iron manifold looks like a pretty sorry piece to me. No cross over for cyls 1 & 4. It's a simple 4-1 setup. A header would be 4-2-1.

4-2-1 is best for low to midrange. Full race headers are actually 4-1 in most cases.
