ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Full tank levels??? 92' Accord

Okay so i have been driving my "new" 92' Accord DX (it's a coupe) and how much fuel is left in the tank at the half way point? Also when gas the light comes on? i know it's 17.04gal (lol sticky) but how does this work out with the gauge?

    thank you for the help,
    Lone_Bassist

It would be about 8 and a half gallons halfway give or take a little. Next time you are on empty, try putting in 8 and a half gallons and see if the gauge is around the halfway point. I'm not sure how much gas is left in the tank when the light comes on. I have never even seen my light on before.

Well that's actually a fuel sending unit problem. If working correctly, the gauge should be a really good representation to how much fuel is left in the tank.

On my Civics it would come one when there is 1/8 of a tank. But I've gotten pretty low and my light still hasn't come on... I wonder if there is a broken connection somewhere

Mine will get all the way to empty line and still not engage.. I'm a little scared to push it though lol.

Side note... How many miles are you guys getting to a tank? I'll fill up from empty about 12.5-13 gallons and get about 280 miles.

that's why ask i put in 5g and it went up half a tank(1/4 to 3/4) - and i have driven 100 miles and im at a half now so what do i just have amazing gas?
5 speed f22a with 80k and 4-2-1 header, cold air intake, exhaust and all that but 40+ to the gal, really?

mileage is all dependent on driving style, condition of your motor, tires, etc...
still though 40mpg is unlikely, unless the last hundred miles was behind a big rig doing a constant 60. haha

curious though, does it matter? if your gauge is in working order, is there much need to know specifics? a gauge like any other metering device can vary. so half tank mark (although usually acurate) can still be a little off.
