ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    car sputters and bogs

I got a 92 lx. Car is kinda hard to start. I have to give it gas to start. after it warms up it idles fine. It bogs when i give it gas like it wants to die. I can hold the idle at 3000 rpm and sounds normal. It just sputters when i try to take off. What can be causing this?
What i've done: Cleaned Iacv, EGR, Adjusted Fitv, replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and even switched a working dizzy from another car. I am lost! it still bogs.

you havent check anything with the fuel yet though-does it do it every time or just after sitting for awhile?

Right now, it is doin it all the the time. I can hear the fuel pump winding. Fuel filter was replaced also. Not really sure wat else to check with fuel.

You can do a test next time you start it to see if it may need a new fuel injector or fuel pump. Cycle the ignition key from off to on (not start) 3 times, waiting 10 seconds in the off and on positions to allow the computer to time out. This should prime the gas lines and if the car then starts on the first try without touching the accelerator, you'll know the problem is fuel pump.
it could be you injectors are dirty or a bad fuel pressure regulator-check your pressure

holding the pedal down while cranking the engine commands the computer to attempt to crank without pulsing the injectors. This also holds the throttle plate open allowing high airflow into the engine. This allows the engine to crank and start without the first few milliseconds of fuel injectors kicking in. Enough time for a flooding condition to be cleared.

Mine did this TWICE, and both times were a fouled plug. Was there oil in one of the plugs? In my buddies old Probe, he had this problem, and it was the fuel pump.

sounds more like spark issue which is more common than fuel issues on the f22. check which cylinder is missfiring.. pull plug wires one by on with engine running and check for change or no change. if there is no change that is your culprit cylinder. try replacing the wire with a known good one. just because it looks good doesnt meant its good.

also try unplugging each fuel injector
