ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I assume its a Prelude you are taking the transmission out of, unless the engine/transmission assembly is already out. In either case....

          Prelude

          1. Disconnect the negative, then the positive battery cables from the battery.
          2. Shift the transaxle into N.
          3. Remove the battery hold-down and remove the battery.
          4. Drain the transaxle fluid and reinstall the drain plug with a new crush washer.
          5. Remove the air intake duct, air cleaner case, and resonator.
          6. Disconnect the connector from the vacuum tank and remove the vacuum tank and tank bracket. Do not remove the vacuum tube from the vacuum tank.
          7. Disconnect the transaxle-to-body ground cable.
          8. Remove the battery base with the ground cable and remove the battery base stay.
          9. Disconnect the lock-up control solenoid valve and shift control solenoid valve connectors.
          10. Disconnect the throttle control cable from the throttle control lever.
          11. Detach the Countershaft Speed Sensor (CSS) connector.
          12. Unplug the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) connector.
          13. Remove the rear stiffener, then remove the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) and Power Steering Speed (PSS) sensor.

Do not disconnect the power steering pressure hoses from the VSS and PSS sensor.

          14. Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses at the joint pipes. Turn the ends of the cooler hoses upward to prevent fluid loss. Plug the joint pipes.
          15. Remove the starter motor.
          16. Remove the upper transaxle housing mounting bolts.
          17. Loosen the front engine mount bracket bolts.
          18. Remove the transaxle mount.
          19. Raise and support the vehicle safely. Remove the front wheels.
          20. Remove the splash shield and remove the subframe center beam and rear beam stiffener.
          21. Remove the cotter pins and castle nuts from the lower ball joints. Use a press-type ball joint tool to separate the ball joints from the lower arm.
          22. Remove the damper fork bolts and separate the damper fork and the damper.
          23. Use a suitable prytool to separate the right and left halfshafts from the differential.
          24. Pull on the inboard joint and remove the right and left halfshafts. Tie plastic bags over the halfshaft ends to protect the boots and splined shafts from damage.
          25. Remove the right damper pinch bolt and separate the right damper fork from the strut.
          26. Remove the right radius rod bolts and nut. Remove the radius rod.
          27. Remove the torque converter cover and the shift cable cover.
          28. Remove the control lever lockbolt and remove the shift cable with the lever. Do not bend the shift control cable during removal. Wire the cable to the underbody of the vehicle our of the work area.
          29. Remove the driveplate bolts while rotating the crankshaft.
          30. Place a transaxle jack below the transaxle and raise it enough to take the weight off the mounts.
          31. Remove the intake manifold bracket.
          32. Remove the lower transaxle housing mounting bolts and lower rear engine mounting bolts.
          33. Pull the transaxle away from the engine until it clears the dowel pins. Lower the transaxle out of the vehicle.
