ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

I just flushed a higher quality item than anything Dropzone makes.

Don't put cheap shit like that on your car. That's your suspension. Your life rides on that.

I had a Dropzone camber kit. It broke at 70mph.

If you're looking for sub-$150 coilovers, at least get the Megan sleeves. They're not great, but far better than DZ.

so thats the reason you have so much hate for DZ. well then.

i had the lowering springs and they were good. nice ride. nice stance. just too soft for me. i wanted something stiffer. but i have no complaints other than the softness tho.

They just aren't quality. It's not like suspension components are THAT expensive that someone can't get quality parts. Good springs for under $200... under $100 used, and I'd rather run some used Neuspeeds than some brand new cheap crap.

very true man. i thought ebay coilovers were the thing when i wanted to slam my car. they rode smooth at highway speeds. but let you hit a bump at that speed or be driving thru a city at 35mph, lord, it would be a ride that you love to hate....

Yeah. And over time they sag... and that can be dangerous, having the corners of the car sprung differently.

Additionally, most people that are cheap enough to go with cheap springs/coilovers are too cheap to replace their shocks. Dropping on stock shocks is unsafe and really stupid.

If you can't do certain things right... suspension, brakes, tires... then you shouldn't be touching those areas. If you only have a limited amount of funds, get a new grille and some Type R emblems. At least they aren't putting your safety at risk!

exactly. those parts arent there to be cheapped out on. theres a reason its cheap. most, if not all, ebay parts dont have much, if at all, any R&D on them. they're just mass produced and sold. if DZ is of this quality then count me out of owning them.

but then again i do have some DZ coilover sleeves on the rear of my car(CG upfront). they're ok, but like the springs, too soft.

dude, i have/had them on my black coupe....I HATED THE RIDE!!!!!!!!!

They are bouncy as hell. I also figured out that they don't go well with KYB AGX's with a big drop like i had...The coilover sleeves absolutly suck man. DO NOT BUY THEM.

If it were up to me, DropZone as a company wouldnt be in business.

They sag, they bounce, and there just plain out pieces of shit man. I will never own another set of them.

hope this helps with your choice.

Sounds like Jordan approves of them.

Christian, at least consider getting the Megan sleeves, they're only like $10-$20 more than the DZ's. Then, once you have decided to get the Megans, save $100 more and get the Skunk2's.
